Embrace the Organic Movement:
Your Guide to Organic Week
By the Canada Organic Trade Association
In a world increasingly conscious of health, sustainability, and the origins of their food, Organic Week 2023 is set to captivate audiences like never before. This year’s event promises a holistic experience, featuring an array of events, educational activities, and engaging contests aimed at promoting and celebrating the trustworthiness of the Canada Organic sector. Organic Week is a national campaign that goes beyond just informing and educating; it’s about fostering a deeper connection between consumers and the food they consume.
Organic Week serves as a platform to raise awareness, educate consumers, and foster engagement around the organic movement in Canada. At its core, the campaign aims to convey a simple yet powerful message: when consumers see the Canada Organic Regime logo, they can rest assured that the product is not only certified organic but also free from pesticides and genetically modified organisms (GMOs). This emblem signifies a commitment to stringent regulations, sustainability, and the overall well-being of both consumers and the environment.
Let’s delve into what makes this year’s Organic Week unique and explore the exciting events it has in store!

Their neighbors thought they were odd. Their kids were teased at school. Turns out they were onto something… One day in 1953, Nebraska farmer Donald Vetter had an epiphany while spraying his cornfield. He’d wondered for a while about the wartime chemicals—now approved for agricultural use—he was putting on his crops. He decided right then to quit spraying and to learn to farm in harmony with nature. His farmer neighbors questioned his sanity. When his son David came back to the farm from seminary with a mission to “minister to the soil,” bets were made on how long they’d last. Today, they’re considered regenerative organic farming pioneers.Register now to receive a special link to watch the film starting on Friday, September 22.The link will be available for 7 days, so you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy it at your convenience.
